The JPMorgan Chase Foundation supports programs that promote workforce readiness, small business expansion, financial capability, and community development. Special emphasis is directed toward neighborhoods in the areas of the foundation’s major operations.
In 2017, ADB and JPMorgan signed an agreement to enhance trade support in developing Asia. This partnership marked the first collaboration under ADB’s Trade Finance Program utilizing its newly introduced funded risk-sharing product. Under the agreement, ADB and JPMorgan share risk on a funded basis for underlying trade finance transactions. Before this, ADB and JPMorgan had collaborated on various initiatives to support trade in countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Viet Nam. The 2017 agreement aimed to finance over $100 million in trade, with a particular emphasis on benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises by addressing their pre- and post-shipment financing needs.
