Nepal Earthquake Rehabilitation Rebuilds Better Infrastructure
Following the 2015 deadly earthquake, ADB worked with Nepal in setting up the Earthquake Emergency Assistance Project, which helped rebuild around 154 school buildings and facilitated the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 301 kilometers of district roads, 57 severely damaged buildings, and 61 slightly damaged buildings.

With grant support from the People’s Republic of China, Ireland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the Regional Malaria and Other Communicable Disease Threats Trust Fund, ADB is scaling up efforts to help the health and economic systems of its developing member countries respond to COVID-19 outbreaks and future pandemics.
